Two abandoned DDR era Soviet Bases. The first one is the Fliegerschule Altes Lager, opened in 1916, during the first world war, as an airship station. In 1933 the Nazis converted the now disused base into a secret airbase with the codename "Waldlager". After the second world war the base became a soviet airbase until 1994 when it was handed back to Germany and abandoned.
Unguarded but had to climb over the fence with gear and slider.

The second location is Krampnitz Barracks, established by the Germans during the rearmament period. It was used by the Nazis until the end of the second world war. After the war it was used by Soviet troops until its abandonment in 1992.
Saw a car inside but didn't bump into the guard. The area is huge but there isn't much to see, the officer building was bricked up.

Thanks, not sure why it freezes, could be because I set default to HD, video is also on youtube

The images are all screengrabs from the video. Sites are interesting, but completely stripped.

Superb! The video makes it IMHO.

I've already done Krampnitz, I plan on doing the flying school in a few weeks!

Thanks, flying school is well worth a visit, I found Krampnitz a bit big and empty.

I went back in 2013 and it was awesome back then. Granted it was fairly empty but there was still Soviet military training manuals etc. laying about the place.

It was completely bare when I went, and the officer building was bricked up.
