Going with another asylum today, this was my first big one. West Park had been pretty secure for a couple of years but things had changed. Kept on the low in non public it was great to get around this one before it got trashed due to sod all security later in the year. MC Hammer was still at large during this visit and had nailed shut the padded cell in Denton on this occasion. Visited with Speed, Ether, Rigsby and Rookinella. I'd be back many a time over the next few years but the first trip somewhere always seems the most special.

Oh you're tugging at my heart strings now! It wasn't my first explore (Hellingly claimed that title) but it was one of the first and my multiple visits to it were the driving force behind me realising that this crazy hobby was the thing for me - and things snowballed from there.

God only knows what the current entitled generation of clickbaity Youtube morons would have made of the place.

Excellent. A few bits I didn't see or see on here there.
You lot look like you are buyers in a jumble sale in that clothes shot

1893 birthdate looks so weird on such a relatively modern form! The guy was only born 5 years after Jack the Ripper, and ended his days at this place!

Still miss this place, and I think its fine to feel a little nostalgic.

That print out gave me proper shivers - when you looked at some of the admission dates against the DOB and the fact they were still in there when it closed.

Oh yes, didn't clock that - the first guy admitted aged 19 in 1926, and still there in 1988, 62 years later.
