One of the last working mills in Ireland
news reports said that it had suffered massive fire damage were over exaggerated to say the least. http://www.wmclark.co.uk/ see how huge this site is.
Myself, Irishmanlost and julespics had a fab 4 hour explore before bumping into security just as we were all leaving:)
interesting intro to the site !
the gate house, had been burnt down by local chavs
the old admin block - with a view of the main complex in the background
door detail - the company logo
we hadnt realised that the old mill was still active !!
oh the temptation to press - just one
the tender was more a wildlife sanctuary
a lot of the old victorian powerhouse remains intact, and was a museum piece
take nothing but photographs, leave nothing but footprints - literally
old mechanics used as modern art outside the modern building of the mill - and throughout various parts of the village.
