Thanks for the replies @ stranton and urban caving, I just have not seen those flow measuring things in the northwest of england so much, thought it was something to do with yorks water, but now I know it is the EA.....cheers again fellas...

Good work mate. Don't think I've seen a report on this one before!
Some great shots there of decent brickwork especially the tunnel below the railway line.

In your continued post, could you tell me what those round stone things are for in pic 2?

Masticator was in leeds or yorks somewhere as I recall, I think there is also a big 'un whizzing round in a suburb of Bolton, but not sure.

In your continued post, could you tell me what those round stone things are for in pic 2?

there 2 round stone tanks one full & another empty, sometimes water pours through the gap & in the beck,
I don't know there purpose but if somebody else does be interesting to know?

Possibly balancing tanks for surface water, or a syphon?
