History- This mortuary was built in 1930's as an overspill for Wrexham War memorial hospital. Many fatalities of ww2 passed through here including both British and enemy Air crews. The victims of an RAF bomber crash near Bwlchgwyn in January 1943 were some of the last bodies to pass through the mortuary before its closure in 1943. It has remained closed ever since. There were plans to restore it and open it to the public but this seems to have stalled.

Explore - This place is tucked away in the corner of the cemetery behind some undergrowth. Access is quite easy although there's a homeless man living in the trees behind the mortuary.

It's a great little place. First morgue we've done. Love the fact that it's been left untouched since the 1940's
