This club closed on Saturday, 5 September. Stripping out and boarding up started on the Monday.
Opened on the 16 April 1928, as The Palladium Super Cinema, it closed at the end of 1976. When converted for bingo, a false ceiling was not added, which meant that the barrel ceiling and fibrous plaster decorations survive intact.
The balcony and upstairs rooms were already locked and chained, but at least there are now some pictures of the interior!
