Today, Pixilulu and myself paid a visit to Blackburn Royal Infirmary.

It is still in a state of being stripped down with items being sold off or moved to another site, the lifts work and lights are still on.

Place is in a very good condition, untouched by vandals and I didn't even see any cracked or peeling paint. Some really nice features such as the domed bit and the stairway with a cage all the way around it. I failed to get any decent pictures of those of so I hope pixi has. I was hoping for a bit more in situ but you can't have everything I suppose.

Morgue was nice with two shiney slabs with under-body ventilation and all that posh crap, as if the occupant would care... Also quite a few slots of people in the fridges. The doors were removed to avoid kids locking themselves in the fridges.

There is some on the other wall too.

More can be found on my website Here
