Report - Bodmin BT Radio Station

Came here again today. Recently last couple weeks had some new signs up to rent/sell. They have cut back a lot of the trees so you can see more from the road now.

On looking inside seems the people getting ready to sell have gutted every last bit. The light switches, plugs, ambulance switches, rails, signs even the broken glass out the windows. Just a bare concrete shell now.

Still great to look round and explore an imagine the people working here in the past.

Do you have any history of the place - when it was built, what it was for, when it closed etc?

If you use the link above should help you narrow it down but it’s off the A30 Westbound between Bodmin and Cornwall Services. Take 1st exit for St Austell and the access road is off the roundabout.

Good set of images there, looks like they have tidied up since I went!

To people looking for the location, its obvious if you drive the A30 - as in really hard to miss, or 2 mins on google maps.

Awesome, ended up going to a few others last night which where not so successful.

There’s the Ottermill in Ottery st Mary which was basically a construction site. There was also Salston Manor which was a building site. Depending how risky you are I believe the manor still stands but there’s night vision CCTV and id guess it’s alarmed!

Nipped by here on Wednesday but place was heaving during the daytime. A number of vehicles on site and people doing something or other about the place. Definitely one for the evening/weekend schedule.

I did this a year back, wasnt much there anyway but some nice birds on the heathland around it!
