The historic Conditioning House was established as a wool testing centre through a special Act of Parliament passed in 1887. It was built around 1902 and in its heyday employed hundreds of people but Bradford Council decided to sell it and the building was closed. Nearly 70% of all wool produced in the UK would have been brought here for testing prior to use.

This place is lethal, the floors are extremely rotten and in some areas full of holes! Visited with two non-members.

Nicely done :thumb bit of light painting would help as well

Pity it"s just rotting away ....like the Midland Mills & it"s failed/ halted Pigeon Sheds conversion :(

My fav" bit of the site is the door with 6 or 7 padlocks on it saying Danger do not enter ....er ;)

Cheers, I totally agree with the light painting but by the time I'd got here my torch died and I'd made the schoolboy error of not bringing any spare batteries and my backup torch is terrible - lesson learned for next time! Had a brief look at Midlands Mill and it actually looks like they're finally starting to do something with it, theres new boards on half of the windows.

Your not wrong about the floors. They are sketchy borderline ridiculous in places. It's a good mooch though. You liked the way in then? ;)

It was definitely up there as the sketchiest floors I've ever walked on. Entry was quite the laugh!

Doesn't surprise me, there's a lot of unsavoury characters in Bradford.
