I had to go to Sunderland last Tuesday and couldn't miss this opportunity! I know it's been seen on here many times before but I really wanted to look around for myself :D

It had chucked it down all the previous night and most of the morning so water had poured in through the "roof" and it was continuing to make very odd noises inside as it dripped onto various dead bits of hospital. This was most obvious in the swimming pool!

There were plenty of dog walkers and people walking about so I didn't feel too conspicuous, however I was setting up to take a picture above the stage and saw a security guard through the broken windows looking out towards the fields. I just stayed still and waited for him to disappear, after 5mins or so he did, there was then an almighty bang and the sound of breaking glass from the direction of the main hall... This freaked me a bit as I wondered what was going on!! Could have been security trying to fix a board, or someone else inside falling over or just the building falling apart. anyway I carried on but later saw the same guard stood by the roadway staring back at the hospital, I'd stayed away from all the exterior windows as much as possible so I was pretty sure he hadn't seen me. So again I waited for him to go, then I did the same thing and buggered off!

Here Pictures! Hope you like:

The light was now fading and I had to go. It would have been great to spend a lot more time there as their is so much to see.

Cheers Guys...
