Report - Chyngton Bunker / Seaford GPO Repeater station - East sussex - Jan 2023

being a Sunday morning, we thought we take the 1hr 30 drive down to Seaford to go and have look at this tiny bunker, funny enough you can see it from the road, knowing the fact how open the bunker is there is not really any graffiti in there, just some old remembrance that someone was living in there at one point, we spent about 30 mins in there taking photos and some videos of the bunker,

it said that the bunker was built in 1942, there was another one built
Dover, Southbourne, Swanage, and Dartmouth but is unknown if they have surried or not , The bunker had a few rooms two small rooms, and one main room.

Interesting that you mention Swanage, as the only one that I recall which looks similar is the generator/admin bunker at the foot of nine-barrow down, which was built as a D-Day comms facillity.

I went looking for this the other day as it’s right by my door step and I couldn’t find it I just have another look

Do you mean the Swanage one? If so, get to Knitson farm and take the track up towards the hill. The site is just off to the right at the base of the hill. (I assume it is still there...)
