Clare made chucks for milling machines, which surprised me as I had never heard of them. Then again, being a Nuneaton lad all the toolmakers I know are staunch users of Clarkson's "Autolock"

Originally a cotton mill, split up into various uses from textile to office furniture. Fetted but still interesting, especially the order cards which had plenty of old exploring names. Very interesting to flick through...

Nice report Dweeb :thumb me and Will Knot went in December, We just missed the homeless people who are residents, their fire in the basement was still lit.

Got a few Clare collet chucks kicking about in my workshop. Got some auto locks too but much as I've used them loads, they always seem over complicated to me for what they achieve! Nice pics!
