This place is 5 mins from my works and was a Sunday morning visit with @BrainL

History -
The Excelsior Printing and Bookbinding Works was originally opened on the Monday 4th July 1870 and the owner at the time was Mr John Heywood.
At the time when it was opened this place could take on upto 750 employees and was one of the largest of it kind. Clare Tooling Systems occupied the building around the late 80's early 90's.

Think this place is gone now, went for a look a few weeks ago but there was some commotion going on out outside the building opposite so gave it a miss. Few days later it was in the Manchester Evening News for collapsing, started pulling it down the next day according to the news article

I heard that to! As work 5 mins away I'm gonna check it out tomorrow on my dinner!

Yeah a little bit missing seeing though you could have got out on that roof.
You could prob still get to each floor and the office bit as thats on the other side thats still there. Just if it safe of not but it's properly not.

Thats the bit thats collapsed but from the inside.

WOW @Bigian88 that pic is so scary!! Imagine being inside when that happened.. just shows no matter how careful you are this hobby is still dangerous

Had a walk past today and the demo is almost done. Probably not safe now
