This is Condtitioning House in Bradford. It was built in 1902 as a result of a special act of parliment as a scientific testing facility for the wool industry. Two thirds of wool used in the UK came from Bradford and wool and textiles would have been brought here and tested under different conditions to determine their strength and durability. It has been empty for many years and was getting ready for the usual conversion before the credit crunch hit.
Access to this place is difficult which is probably why you never see any reports from it. The mill is mostly empty inside and is in a very dangerous condition with unsafe floors and warning signs all over. The lovely glass roofs which covered the courtyard and skybridges are gone.
Apologies for the picture quality which isn't great, getting a tripod in isn't a one man job so I used flash in places. This site has long been a personal nemesis of mine so I'm glad to have finally seen it.
