I found this postcard at an antiques fair on Sunday, the postmark is March 29th 1906 so the hospital had only been open a year, and this must be from one of the very early patients.
The text reads:-
Dear Friend,
I am pleased to say I am rather better, I wish you was here I am sure it would do you good, and you would be nice company for me.
Kindly remember me to Mrs Roberts. Believe me I remain your sincere friend.
