Thanks to Sinnerman and Co / lock1999 for reporting this and giving me the enthusiasm to get off my arse and go see it.
Security (in a grey van / car) was very active, constantly driving around and especially concentrating on the main central road. Between rounds, they parked at engineering or went back to the CPL offices. Therefore, I got around the whole of the site, except for the main tower because that is seriously visible from there.
Anyway, here's some pictures...
Looking out to the towers, towards the spoil heap...
Detail from the blast furnace, it was interesting to put together the process.
Detail from the ground level of the coke ovens...
In the middle of the coke oven main building, there was the bath houses and changing rooms...
The view from the coke ovens...
From the other side of the road, looking at the coke ovens and silo...
A control panel, purpose unknown...
In the same room...
The stores...
Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area.
