I had time to kill and managed to find myself in Victoria after noticing this on a previous nights explorage. Think what attracted me to it the most was what it looks like, think it's pretty nice architecture. Anyway, nice bit of climbing on a demo site, always fun!
History and Information
Eland House is an office building on Bressenden Place in Westminster, London. It was designed by EPR Architects and built by Mowlem for Land Securities, and although finally completed in 1998, staff of the former Department of the environment had moved in in late 1995/early 1996.I had time to kill and managed to find myself in Victoria after noticing this on a previous nights explorage. The building is 59 m (152 ft) high, with 11 floors providing 35,000 m² (376,250 sq ft) of office space housing 2,500 staff. It incorporates a number of environmental features including a co-generation plant and active solar panels.
It's future
It's a demo site and it's not an old building, plus it's quite striking and appealing so I was quite surprised to see the demo cranes on site. However it's a conversion and it'll supposedly be bigger an better than before, personally I don't think so, but who cares?

Aukett Swanke has won planning permission for the refurbishment of the headquarters of the Department for Communities and Local Government in central London.
Eland House, near Victoria Station, will be converted into new office spaces from its first to tenth floors with retail accommodation and a new triple-height reception at ground level.
Its entire facade will be re-clad with new glazing built onto its existing structural frame. The current sloping roof will also be replaced by external landscaped terraces.
Refurbishment will begin this September and is expected to complete in spring 2016.

My visit
So yeah, time needed to be killed and I remembered this was here. Thought it looked interesting and so naturally I got myself a closer look. I seem to do that these days, just sort of see something I like the look of or am interesting in and climb it/get in it. Really is an odd hobby...
It's a fairly interesting building, massive court yard, interesting stair case, modern yet it felt outdated but interesting. Was a real casual explore and personally thought it was a lot of fun. I know a few others went up a little while later and didn't share the same love for the site, that's fair enough.
Was absolutely pee'ing it down so naturally this encouraged me to climb one of the cranes. My lens suffered.
