An Update on Ferrybridge 'C'
Introduction:
It's been a few months now since we first visited Ferrybridge, that first night was a little bit hectic and turned out to be nothing more really than a quick run around the turbine hall before leaving.
We've visited twice since then and managed to pretty much cover the majority of the site, we've done the boiler house, turbine hall, workshops, FGD, CW Pump House and we even managed to grab a few of the control room whist the duty engineer was asleep in there under one of the control desks!!
From what I got told by an ex employee, the control room should be vacant within the next 2 weeks if you were wondering.
To date we've spotted at least one engineer within the building on all trips, make sure he doesn't creep up on you! I need to go back yet
When the power stations do eventually go public in years to come I'll make a really decent report with everything in one place, but for now, see this as a personal update of my progress at the station, we still need to explore the admin/labs as we ran out of time on our last trip! We've also tried the GT House, which was sadly locked...

Parts like these are seldom seen, so it's nice to have been able to stray a little further off the path than usual.

We'll go straight to the control room, because I have far too many pictures of the turbine hall and I really can't be bothered editing them all and uploading tonight, maybe tomorrow.
