Going back a few years now but as most of u know this was a great industrial location that is no more so thought I would share.

I was down that way mountain biking for a long weekend so thought I would "pop" in here before returning home, after 2 or 3 hours in there with fried legs from biking I was struggling to get up to the higher levels but loved it none the less.

Fullers earth was known for its absorbent properties which was mainly used as cat litter.
In 1954 the works, now employing 780 men, were bought by chemical company Laporte Industries.
Interestingly in the 70's the quarried land at Redhill was used for several alien landscapes in the Doctor Who series (sorry I didnt get any pics of that)
The quarry is now being used as landfill & the complex has stood empty since 2004.

Always liked the look of this one. We went once, lasted about five minutes inside before an angry dog and an even angrier security guard were forcing us out! Good set that mate.

Always put this one off til next time, dont know why. I really missed the boat. Those snaps are lovely, and the reflections shots, especially the opener that`s quality. Very nice to see this again :thumb

I have so many fond memories of this place, I'm amazed it lasted as long as it did before being flattened.

Yeah only went the once but it was probably the biggest place I had solo explored at the time so was quite a buzz

Heard a few stories like that, I was in 2-3 hrs & didn’t see a soul

Visited this place a few times around 2017/18 and never saw any security luckily. Such a death trap but a great explore nonetheless

This my local big derp for a while. I didn't end up going till sometime after security gave up. It was always a totally free run and was often full of the local kids. I fun explore but well troden and full of asbestos. I was actually a little surprised when the did finally flatten it! I thought it would last a bit longer.
