Fantastic photos. I live and work very close to this place but have never seen inside. It's a shame it hasn't been kept in a bit better condition, but ABP who own it haven't spend a penny on Grimsby dock for many years (apart from a new security hut thing), as you probably saw, the hole place is a bit of a dump. Part of the film Atonement was filmed in and around the ice factory.

Thanks for that, and just to say, yes I noticed the new security building.... which seems to be the only thing they have spent money on. Since you live in the area, I would be interested to know what the plans are (if any) for the factory.. ?
Also, didnt know that about the film being done partly there... I'll have to watch it now i suppose, to see

The new Secca buildings are the only things i noticed on Google Street View as you drive around the Docks, one minute 2012 no Secca, 2014 Secca lol well apart from the derelict buildings of course

There were plans to convert it to a leisure type complex but that seems to have gone quiet for the last few years, at the moment its just falling to pieces with no plans to do anything as it stands at the minute. There used to be another large office block on the quayside which has also gone, that would have been a good explore as my Dad used to work in there in the early 90's, always remember it as a kid, now the docks are nothing compared to what they used to be.

Hello, I am a newbie to UE, I think this is a building I tried to get into a few months ago, I got some nice external shots but as I was making my way to explore the inside Security descended on me and escorted me off the premises! lol, Lesson number 1 learnt, get inside quick before anyone notices and bother about the external photos later. :crazy
