Having a mooch around the eastern end of the Cromford Canal before it goes into the Butterley Tunnel, and spotted a walking sized circular concrete pipe that goes under the A610. A pipe that I can stand up in is a pleasant stroll in my book, and I'm sure the many spiders that decided to hitch a ride on me agreed. Decent length, about 150m, and ending in a square section with an outfall by a house in Lower Hartshay. It's not massive but it was a nice find on a January afternoon!

Nice and slippy along here. After about 100 meters the tunnel changes into a box culvert, and there's a lot more debris on the river bed, which ironically made it easier to walk on.

This last 30 or 40 metres section was the only stoopy bit, leading to the outfall right by someone's kitchen, I think (the house is on the left, behind those railings).

Went back out the way I'd come in. A nice little stroll, that one! Short and sweet. Thanks for looking!
