Built by Mitchells and Butlers at the end of the 19th C, The King Edward is one of the finest looking boozers in the city. Of brick and terracotta construction, and boasting a huge clock tower which sticks it's timepiece over the flyover which virtually hides it from the surrounding streets.

It only closed a few years ago but has taken a battering and many of it's original stained glass windows are broken. Inside has become something of a "crack palace" with various rooms being occupied and fettedness spread throughout the entire place.

Few snaps of the tap room and lounge and then off to search through the crap for the clock tower. I eventually found it, in some crack head's bedroom. Worth it though, it was fabulous up there!
