As damons already been kind enough to fill in the history of this place and set the scene, i'll get straight down to some pictures with minimal accompanying wordage.
The conveyor system leading off into the dark basement
The clocking in area
One of the two vending machines we found
Couldnt resist this mirror shot, particularly as someone was kind enough to leave me an ashtray.
(Kiddy)fiddler(s) on the roof. (apologies in advance for the pun)
Birminghams funky multicoloured gas holders
Just as we were coming down from the roof two asian men started lighting firecrackers and it became apparent there was an asian wedding on at the mosque up the road, next thing we know theres rockets going off everywhere and balloons being released almost it seemed to fanfare our arrival back into the building.
The room where we returned into the building was absolutely full of slides, i mean thousands upon thousands of the buggers, far too many to sit looking through them especially as a lot of them were purely presentation slides with just text on. Anyway, i deceided to have a look through one or two and came up with this little gem, a slide of the very building we were in.
Some headed documentation
And finally as we were leaving, the fantastic wrought iron gates.
