The Site

This is going to be an eleven storey building, designed by Porphyrios Associates. It will be home to media and public relations firm Havas, plus some restaurants etc. on the ground floor. It's part of the multi-billion pound development of King's Cross.

The Explore

I pass this building regularly, so have had my eye on the crane for some time. Walked across central London scouting out potential climbs with a pal, had an idea we'd end up here. Nice climb to the top, some good views, crane was gently swaying in the wind. We were a little spooked when a couple of police got out of their car a block away and looked in our direction, then drove very slowly round the site, false alarm in the end. Were tempted to climb another crane on the way home, but ended up being thwarted by rain and Soho crowds.

Thanks y'all. 'Not For Self But For All' is art by Turner Prize nominee Mark Titchner. It's on the top of Camden Council's new HQ, a translation of their Latin motto.
