A brief topside only visit over the weekend. Somehow never been for my sins. After a good nights sleep at nearby bothy headed up to have a look around the buildings. It seems there is some conservation work going on of late. Sign up saying so, some shipping containers/portacabins about and evidence of the roof of the two main sheds being propped up with new breeze block towers. Huge piles of asbestos cladding dumped around back too! Think lot of the sheds have been cleared out compared to what used to be in them.
Pottered around for abit, walked up to the upper levels and enjoyed lunch overlooking Blaenau Ffestiniog before heading back down.
