Ever since I was first made aware of Urban Exploration I have been obsessed with finding my way into an abandoned hospital / asylum,
with the Mid-Wales Hospital being so prolifically documented, and its close vicinity to my home town, I thought this would be an obvious place to break my Healthcare Dereliction virginity
So with great suspense and excitement we set off to get stuck in
All photographs were taken with an iPhone 5..
The sight that greeted us after parking the car and walking up to the grounds was pleasing to me..
First we entered what I believe must have been a clinic on the edge of the grounds..
We then moved on to the main buildings..
With the knowledge that security is well documented here.. open courtyards... exposed the prying eyes.. hmmm :P
I love this growth inside the building.. Nature taking over
Love these stairs as well..
The slate-less roof of Talgarth Asylum.. apparently there was over £1million worth of slates on the roof before thieves had their way...
Nice bit of wallfilth...
Obligatory corridor shot..
This place was my favorite explore up to now, we were there for a couple of hours but I'd say we only covered two thirds of the total area, so a revisit is definitely on the cards,
Anyway thanks for looking guys, hope you enjoyed.
