History
The Baggot family built the present mansion and were followed there by the Tate's of Tate and Lyle.
In 1930 all the farms etc on the estate were sold off and the mansion was eventually bought by Denbighshire Health Authority and was a Phyciatric hospital (a branch of The North Wales Hospital) until 1988 when it was sold to a builder.
The Visit
I heard about this place earlier this week, a quick search of the forum seemed to bring back no hits, with the links to the North Wales Hospital I decided to check it out, glad I did. Although quite empty, it has pretty much been left un touched by pikes and vandals alike and 95% of the decay is of natural making.
Originally myself and Andy planned to visit, but we were joined by HiddenShadow at the last minute.
