History: There is only limited information available for this site. According to reports this factory closed down in the early 1980’s although the calendars on the wall go up to 1997. They sold turbine bags and are ships chandlers (a retail dealer who specialises in supplies or equipment for ships) and sailmakers. The customer orders book in the office dates from 1931. Another report on this location indicates that the elderly owner is sadly suffering from health issues, but the building is thankfully spared demolition and redevelopment into housing is a future hope.
The visit: Credit to @Camera Shy for doing the first post of this place..having read his report, I just had to give it a go. So set off early and arrived as the last clubbers were making their way towards maccies for their sausage Mcmuffin! We approached the location and aaaah! a taxi was parked right outside the entry point so no chance of getting in without being spotted

Thanks for looking!
