History
: There is only limited information available for this site. According to reports this factory closed down in the early 1980’s although the calendars on the wall go up to 1997. They sold turbine bags and are ships chandlers (a retail dealer who specialises in supplies or equipment for ships) and sailmakers. The customer orders book in the office dates from 1931. Another report on this location indicates that the elderly owner is sadly suffering from health issues, but the building is thankfully spared demolition and redevelopment into housing is a future hope.

The visit: Credit to @Camera Shy for doing the first post of this place..having read his report, I just had to give it a go. So set off early and arrived as the last clubbers were making their way towards maccies for their sausage Mcmuffin! We approached the location and aaaah! a taxi was parked right outside the entry point so no chance of getting in without being spotted:banghead. After debating what to do we decided to play dumb and went and asked the taxi ‘for a ride to Liverpool Met Cathedral to meet up with our friends as we are lost’. After some reluctance (probably cause he reeked of weed!) he agreed and gave us a guided tour away from the explore location. We hopped out early on some excuse, paid our fare, and sped back the way we had come. In no time we were in and could begin exploring. Whilst taking shots in the pigeon shit covered top floor we gave another urbexer (aka Porky Pig) a heart attack as he came up the stairs expecting to be completely alone. Anyway…on with the photos (pic heavy):

I was admiring this old building while visiting Liverpool. I did a search on Queen’s Stores Co and found this documentary on this website. What an amazing discovery of an urban time capsule! I wish I was there as part of the exploration team. Nice work guys.
