Thought i may aswell post this up now. I visited with Dab back in March but for verious reasons it didnt get reported on. To my knowlage its all sealed up again now anyway.

I had been trying to get into the place for a while but security were on it 24/7 and it was locked up (not capped as per sub-brit) one day security seemed to vanish and before i knew it it was open and explorable. Got to be one of the best ROTORs left and i hope it stays that way.

Many thanks for the post, looks so different to my time there. It's been closed for a good few years now, makes me feel old. Great that you were able to get access.
Keep exploring as you produce great reports and pictures.

Shame so many of these places are degenerating, one other rotor station has been kept going thankfully.RAF Holmpton (RAF Patrington as was) is near Withernsea east of Hull and is open to the public.
Still, when the cold war restarts soon they may decide to do something with them.

Its looking a right mess now due to Metal thieves. chavs are in there regular, wont be long before its sealed up.There were candles everywhere when i went recently,a bit dangerous.Still wet down there.
