Evening Guys,

On the occasion of my birthday :tumbleweed, I had tried to get in Fairmile Hospital, but was caught by security within 10mins. Therefore still determined to celebrate the occasion in some small way... and after being thrown out of Fairmile I decided to drive to the easier RAF Upper Heyford, despite being told it was fairly striped.
My explore centred mainly around the High School, as this intrigued me the most, with a brief visit to the accommodation blocks, and mess hall.
Later I met up with Landieman who took me on a guided tour of the Aylesbury Odeon, where my camera in its unfathomable infinte shiteness gave up the ghost. :(

History

I shan’t dwell on this too much, as it’s been done many times before, but the base was founded in 1918. The base was also home to the Upper Heyford High School Hadites until 1975 when the school moved to RAF Croughton. The School retained the name "Upper Heyford High School" until 1982 when it was then given the new name of "Croughton High School". The Upper Heyford/Croughton High School Hadites were renowned across DoDDS Europe (Department of Defense Dependents Schools) high schools for their athletic legacy.

Today

The site stands vacant, with no current plans in a level of decay some people on here love, and others hate.
