Have wanted to visit this one for a while now, I’ve seen this posted several times.

History-
Set on land once owned by the long gone local estate on the edge of a once much bigger wood and park.
This building was built by a Czechoslovakian man called Tom Hodac in the 1960’s.

Him and his wife found the land whilst on holiday, after the land possibly reminding them of their birth place they purchased the land.
Their caravan found a home in the woods and tom began to plan a shrine of sorts to essentially say thanks for finding a home in a country. (He had come from Czechoslovakia at the end of WW1).
He built the chapel himself using materials sourced locally.
Tom later died in 2002 and the chapel now slowly being given back to nature, you surely would never know this was in these woods or even existed!

The Explore -
On the tricky side to find and through an overgrown woodland, the building and gates seem very out of place!
I had expected to feel a bit strange on entering but actually found only peaceful feelings around the building.
A shame to see it disappearing slowly over time after knowing someone put a lot of love into this!

Hope you enjoy.
