This was a spur of the moment trip. We were originally looking slightly further north before I saw Ojay's report from here. The decision was made and we set off..

Rugby Mill is listed as being built in 1908 although I did find a reference to it's 1200hp George Saxon engine dating that to 1910.
I couldn't find much more history other than the fact that the architect was F W Dixon and Son.

More recently it seems to have been home to Gabicci International LTD.

Judging by the number of Joe Bloggs tags, it looks like they were suplying most of Manchester with jeans in the early 90's :D

The building is almost completely empty now, but with some lovely open spaces, nice lighting and lots and lots of pillars..
