This place is known as church of decay and usually I think these codenames are a bit silly and wonder how people come up with them but for once this one lived up to its name! So much natural decay all over this place it was very nice indeed :)

The History
The site of this church was originally a Merovingian cemetery. According to archaeological sources, the Romanesque tower is the last remains of the first church.

The building has been closed in 1999 because of the danger of collapsing. The church had suffered from dry rot and an earthquake in 1983.

The church was protected in 1972, but it’s in such a bad state today they had to partly demolished it. The demolition of the church was only partial, the post-medieval part of the building is still protected. The Romanesque tower and turret are retained.

Thanks mate, it was a great trip, tiring but worth it :)

I like that pic as well, it was the last visit of the day and I really couldn't be bothered waiting for them to move out of the way and ended up turning out the best shot for that reason of showing the scale :) Would love to say it was planned haha
