Another repost due to website rebuild.

Not a lot to this place but it is very photogenic on the outside. Sadly very stripped out and half converted on the inside.

The Mission Room was opened in July 1896. Meetings were first held in a nearby cottage. The Mission was built to accommodate 140 persons and was funded by Mr T Hutton of Ormskirk. The opening ceremony was conducted by Dr. J C Ryle, Bishop of Liverpool. Further improvements were made in 1904, when extra seating was installed for another 40 communicants. An ancient bell used to be housed in the bell tower donated by Rainford’s Clergy in 1903, after their old Chapel was demolished. It dated back to the mid-16th Century, but unfortunately was stolen seven years after the Mission closed. The mission closed in 1975.

How?? We were just there last week and there was no access at all. Although looking through my photos there were no windows unboarded like in yours. So maybe we were just unlucky and you got in before they secured it more. The grass around it had just been cut recently too.
