The Sherbourne rises at Hawkes End in Allesley,
heads east passing through 2 culverts beneath Coventry city
merging with the sowe at Baginton by the A45 road
length of about 8 miles.
The culverts start at Meadow street & finish at Gosford street,
with a 20yd gap between them at cross cheaping & a combined length of 1.27 miles.

Very interesting, thanks Stranton.

I have heard of plans to reopen the Sherbourne in the city centre - don't know if they will ever happen though.

What is the CCTV for then? Just wondering.

Thanks for that Stranton.
Thats interesting. Do they monitor it for blockages or problems downstream? I had noticed the cables running down there.

Yeap, just double checked on google, my eyesight is a bit bad, but it deffo looks like there is a CCTV pointing down right at that structure, presumably running on solar power? Cheers for all replies.

accumulation of debris at the grill / mouth
Always a problem, and that is a big structure. Some of those in east yorks too, humber outfall of the beverly and barmston drain, but no CCTV as I recall.
