After seeing this appear by Urbanchemist I thought I would give it a look as I was coming near it on the way home from Scotland. I liked the look of the admin and some nice toilets. Soon found my way in and had a nice relaxed wander. Even though it's stripped it's a nice place. After I drove down the road to try the Kay's one with not much joy.
There was originally three mills on the River vale which only one remained. This was last occupied by Sigma Soap who specialised in paste soap. Looking at records it seems the company went into administration in July 2012. A newspaper report in late 2020 says planning has been approved for 30 houses on the site. It did not look like any work has started when I went. That might be different now.

Starting off with the admin block and a very nice safe.

lovely shots. Big open spaces are appealing, not sure why. Something special about the size and feeling quite small in comparison. Nice toilet shot, not sure of there paint job though ;) For a place with so little in it, its still an interesting mooch.

Thank you Jane. I agree, something about big open spaces, especially with good light coming through. I quite like that colour toilet walls to photograph. Think quite a few industrial places had that colour scheme. I swear I saw some toilets in GBs with that colour.

Paid a visit here today, its still there but its been secured with a bit of new fence at the front and 2 new cameras on the corner near the gate, and annoyingly at least one inside as i found out when it informed me i had been spotted, i didn't hang about to see if anybody turned up

Went earlier this year, found it secured around the main entrance as you said, didn’t notice any cameras but couldn’t find a way in as it’s surrounded by the river on one side and metal bars on the other! Missed the boat!!!
