HISTORY

Solid fuel mine, now abandoned.

THE VISIT

After having to spend the best part of 9 weeks in the home country, it was nice to actually get back out again and do something constructive (rather than dodging through old Irish metal mines with their abundance of false floors and stopes) !

Having only seen a small scale mine worked from the 19th till mid 20th century its good to see something newer and how very different it all is :thumb
