Report - Spondon H Power Station (Revisit Report) - April 2016

So I thought this place deserved another crack (and report), our previous visit was successful but not as much as this one as this report will show. We thought hard about our plan of action to manage as much of the building as possible, and once again, hard work has paid off.

This report focuses mainly on the bits we didn't get much of before, as we've done the boiler house to death now. My previous report from the last few attempts including history and boilers can be found here:

Anyway, here's what we found more recently..

Control Room -

It's really starting to fester now, the floor was soaked and had some nice mouldy ceiling tiles on it.. Also, there's still plenty of buzzing and flashing going on in here:

These panels are still quite lively:

There is still a long isolated control panel behind the partition in the control room, but it's still quite heavily secured at the moment.

Coming out of the control room we find these awesome switch rooms:

And finally a derpy as hell admin area, disused since long before full on closure, I liked these:

I like this, it used to very noisy if you got too close.

It still makes plenty of noise next door, but buzzez and beeps all round in here

I can't believe it's almost three years since Boba and I bailed out of here and ran from what seemed like the entire police force. I'd still love to go back and actually spend some time inside.
