Originally founded in 1902 as the Birmingham Diocesan Rescue Society, Father Hudson set up an outreach project to help children born unto single catholic mothers. Based in his parish of Coleshill it went from strength to strength and by 1925 there was numerous homes set up to house boys and girls.

Closed some years ago amidst allegations of some untoward activities of the carers St.Edward's home for boys has lain derelict. Visited with Rigsby and Tunnel Lover it made for a good post piss up explore, even if we did have some navigational errors getting there:D That'll teach me not to be in control of directions. Worth a visit for some of the craziest period wallpapers i have seen. Anyway on with the pics..
