St. Joseph's Seminary opened in 1883 and has laid empty for over twenty years now.
Much history about the building and its uses has been posted on here before so I won't repeat. For anybody who would like to know the history it can be found on wikipedia here St Joseph's College, Up Holland - Wikipedia
All I will say about the building is that it is an absolutly stunning piece of architecture with some stunning original features set in some lovely grounds and is home to the longest continuos corriddor in Europe (so I beleive) and if you ever can look round here make sure you do, it is well worth the effort. The silence and peace you feel when you walk into the church is amazing
Alot of the internal doors are locked and alot of side rooms off the corriddors can't be accessed
Unfortunatly it is currently being stripped out and is set to become luxury apartments.
I could easily spend a day looking round it, the site is huge
But on this occasion time was precious.
