Mooching......
Hi there, this is my first post so please be gentle. I have been doing a lot of research on this place since first it was first brought to my attention. I heard the tales of the PIR's, CCTV, Secca (tooled up) and the Police dog training that sometimes take place in the grounds. If anything all of the above did nothing but spur me on even more. After a few reccys with Lenny b we decided the time had come and we went for it. All in all in was a brilliant day with some truely awesome sites
Brief History......
St Joseph's College, Upholland is a former Roman Catholic seminary, situated at Walthew Park, Upholland, Lancashire, England. The foundation of the large building was laid in April 1880 and college was opened in 1883. The buildings have recently been deconsecrated.St Joseph's College was founded in 1880 by Bishop Bernard O'Reilly to be the Seminary serving the North West of England. The college was formally opened in 1883 and was situated in Walthew Park, Upholland, the geographic centre of the Diocese of Liverpool. I could go on but most has been said before
Snap happy.....
A return visit is definately required
