Flying solo, an after work jaunt flung me in this direction. On route, I met an overly friendly lady of the night who asked if I was working and attracted to attention of one curb crawler (much to the annoyance of the previously mentioned 'lady'). I gave her a cigarette to buy her forgiveness and she soon defluffed.
I've been here a handful of times, but failed to take any pics. Mostly, the results are me faffing about until I lost enough light to carry on.
Security here appears to be intermittent. I wasn't alone when I visited.
I think the history has been well covered, BUT:
Stanley is one of the world’s largest producers of hand-held tools and arrived in Sheffield in 1937. It closed when Stanley consolidated three sites to one to Hellaby and has remained empty (bar for airsoft'ers and explorers) ever since.
