This is one of the chapels of rest in Cullompton Graveyard. One was Catholic, the other Protestant.
One of them is a general chapel now for funerals, while this one is used as the groundskeepers hut.
The tables, I was told, were mainly used for two purposes. One was displaying the body in the casket before burial, the other was they used to lay out accident victims for identification there.
