Visited this evening with Zimbob.

After not being able to find this in the summer I assumed it had be demolished in the construction of the neighbouring water board compund, but we had a recce en-route to Poolewe a couple of weeks ago and found her, tucked in a very overgrown compound with the remains of a metal gate and a small wooden footbridge. Access in summer without machete or chainsaw would be nigh on impossible. I have few exterior shots due to it being REALLY dark.

This post was closed in 1991. It is locked on the T-bar, which we do not have, but a little on-site improvisation saved the day (or night:p)

Interesting hand written weather data chart on a small piece of ply hanging from ladder.

Hand pump, not working:mad:
GARVEROC15.jpg

Sadly the sump was full and with the pump not working (we tried for ages, but the water level didn't drop) It is only a matter of time before that beautiful carpet is destroyed. Seriously though, this is a very clean and tidy post, given its very secluded location, will remain so- as long as the water does not get it first.

Hope you enjoy:thumb

This was a grand wee explore, great to see an ROC post so un-toched after the burnt offerings of Fearn :thumb
