This has been done loads of times but it's local to us and we've always fancied a look.

The air raid shelter under Wavertree Park in Liverpool was built during the war for the workers of the adjacent Littlewoods building. There are a number of charcoal drawings on the walls that are thought to possibly be portraits of the workers from the factory drawn during the wartime period.

Access to this is easy and the place is quite extensive.

Nice to see this open again, it really needs preserving somehow
The portraits are cool. We've been waiting for a look in here for a while, I suspect it will get concreted over when they do something with the littlewoods building eventually.

Nice to see that's still there. Mental how the floor can shift like that, and also youve gotta be a special kind of prat to graffiti arrows on that

It's baffling why someone would think they needed arrows. It's just a repeating pattern of squares, impossible to get lost.

The portraits are cool. We've been waiting for a look in here for a while, I suspect it will get concreted over when they do something with the littlewoods building eventually.
It's been open & closed again for many years, but yeah would b nice if they did something by way of preserving it
