I hit this site up with Cloughy some time ago when we got onto the Britannia drilling platform

http://www.28dayslater.co.uk/britannia-oil-rig-active-jan-2012.t67879

Fast forward 4 years(!) and we decided a revisit was in order to see what delights were available. The site is very much live with 24hr workers and security patrols. There were another 2 rigs/platforms which we set our sights on - but there was far too much work happening on deck. Although we did manage to access the old offices / dorms / kitchens that were originally on board a boat called the 'North Sea Producer'. Info on the boat if interested... http://www.northseaproducer.com/about.html

The usual ducking and diving ensued as we made our way across the site. A number of 'walks of faith' with no shadow or hiding ground, fully floodlit, hoping that the patrol wasn't making its way around the corner in the 4x4.

Close but no cigar...

With too much happening on the rigs, we headed over to another unit which seemed worthy of a look...

The unit was in fact the old dorms, kitchens offices etc for the 'North Sea Producer' mentioned above. Pic of the boat it used to be on nicked from the net...

Starting from the top we tried all doors on all levels, with the final door being the one giving us access into the kitchens!

This is really cool, I didn't realise there were more parts to the ship etc.

Yea plonked on the dock, next to the rigs but the boat is moored elsewhere now..

"North Sea Producer is moored in MacCulloch Field, 250 kilometres northeast of Aberdeen, Scotland"

We were on the North Sea Producer last night and I didn't realise this was just down the road.

It's not the same spot, the boat is in Aberdeen I believe? but this is Middlesborough way. Would love to see some pics of the boat

Nice one guys.

The North Sea Producer is definitely now sat opposite the Riverside stadium in Middlesbrough, as AJ says, we were on it last night. Its been there before (the picture you robbed from the google is from a previous visit to Middlesbrough)

When I saw the sneak peak I thought you were on the NSP (now its no longer sat in the middle of the north sea), kinda funny that you wasn't but was! ha.

I'll try and get a report up within the week, didnt get that many pics (was so much to see), there is already a report on here from WildBoyz.

Come see the rest of the ship, its a beauty.

Good to hear more people have been on board. @Bunk3r The place is absolutely huge. There were probably parts we didn't see and we were on there for a long time.

The massive unit looks kind of like a giant steampunk style spaceship. Great shot of it.

There's accommodation on the ship itself, three floors of it. There's an article in the local Gazette as to the ships location. You can see from the aerial footage there's a gap on the deck, which I assume this slotted in to.
