Hi - I have visited this site twice over the last week to get some photos and returned to venture into the other tunnels but on arrival the coast watch was there so I will return at some point in the next couple of weeks to venture into the other tunnels.

The site is fairly small with a pillbox and two gun batteries above ground and spaced about 45 metres apart. Both of the gun batteries have tunnels leading from them in opposite directions. The one on this report is the North West Tunnel. Access is gained via a small hole about 50cmx40cm to the north west of the gun battery and this would have been accessed directly from the structure during WW2. The Eastern most gun battery still has direct access to the munitions tunnel on that side. An additional tunnel links the two batteries and has crew quarters etc (which I have yet to explore and will post in a future report).

Below: The eastern-most gun battery structure.

Below: A electrical box?

Below: The western-most gun battery.

Cant wait to explore the other two tunnels!
Thanks for looking! :)

Do know how to get in to the tunnel which lead to the church. If you look for a large piece of wood/log underneath it there is a hole just big enough to get down. It is much more interesting than the one which you have been in
