Originally built in 1904 as a boys boarding school it was taken over in 1948 by the Liverpool School for the Deaf. The name was later changed to the Birkdale School for the Hearing Impared Children. It was eventually closed in 2003 and has been empty since. One end of the building was partially demolished after an inevitable fire in 2010.

Looks like a nice building. Good effort on your first report. Just a few tips though, hoping you dont take offence as none meant. The title requires just a mth & yr putting in. Not exact date for your protection.

Also there are a couple of doubles in there. Preview is our friend here. Ive done it myself. Would like to see more photos of the place, your opening shot is very clean & clear. Big friendly welcome to the world of posting. Regards CJ :thumb
