I was hoping to not do a report on this church for awhile but my wife noticed that someone has posted this on a public group on facebook last night. So i thought that id get a report up before it gets trashed to bits.

so this is St George's church

The present church building was built in 1876 as part of a new suburb just south of the town centre. The architect was Frederick Preedy, a prolific architect and stained glass artist raised in Evesham. The church was extended in 1899 by Herbert Lloyd with the addition of a north aisle, north organ chamber, and vestry. Both phases of work were supported by grants from the ICBS.
The south porch was added for the Millard family by F B Osborne in 1904, the baptistery was created by C F Whitcombe in 1908. There were repair works done by Maurice Jones in 1937 and by John Madin in 1962. The church hall was added on to the north side of the nave in 1992, the architects were the Snell Taylor Partnership.
The church has been abandoned since around 2012 due to the lack of people going in.

so i was in this church on my own and i had a good look around, i thought some of the small things in here was cool but when i saw the organ my jaw dropped lol. Most of the stained glass windows are fully intact and they was nice to look at.

Lovely architecture, great woodwork. A lovely church, I hope it doesnt get trashed but most do. This has so much left in it too. Those windows and tiles are great.

Thanks for the comments
This church was really lovely in there.
I hope that it doesn't get trashed but it made a nice change from a house or a pub that I been going to.
